Abdominal etching, also known as six pack liposculpture, is an effective procedure to define abdominal muscles, sculpting the appearance of a six pack contour in the abdominal area. Many men and women devote a large portion of their exercise routine to building abdominal muscles that give a toned and fit appearance. However, even with exercise, not everybody can achieve that athletic six-pack definition. Due to body type and genetics, some people find it difficult to increase the definition of abdominal muscles even with strenuous abdominal exercises. For this reason, Dr. Vladimir Grigoryants delivers abdominal etching to provide a naturally toned look.
Abdominal etching works for those who engage in plenty of exercise as well as those who do not, but who also have not been able to develop six-pack abs for one reason or another. Abdominal etching may be performed in conjunction with other plastic surgery procedures, such as liposuction of the flanks and lower back. In this way, our mission is to provide a proportionate appearance of the patient’s entire torso.
Abdominal etching is performed through small 3mm incisions. Sedation or general anesthesia is preferred for a patient’s comfort. Abdominal etching is an outpatient procedure, and patients are allowed to go home the same day. Most patients return to work in 2-5 days following the procedure. For several weeks following the procedure, an abdominal binder is worn while the incisions fully heal, ensuring the final shape of the procedure.
Dr. Vladimir Grigoryants has developed his own techniques for abdominal etching, and has done so for the satisfaction and overall appearance of the patient. During your initial consultation, he will inform you thoroughly of the procedure to be performed, as well as any discomforts or complications that may arise from it. His purpose is your comfort, both mental and physical, with the procedure being performed. Ask any questions you like, and we will work with you as a team to ensure complete satisfaction with your abdominal etching outcome.
